About The Event
Joohan Lee is a passionate and versatile drummer currently in his third year at the Jazz Music Institute. With over 12 years of experience behind the kit, he brings energy, musicality, and professionalism to every performance, with the ability to perform across a wide range of genres and ensemble settings.
Known for his dynamic playing, rich tonal expression, and strong musical intuition, Joohan is dedicated to elevating every group he performs with while fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere among musicians of all backgrounds. Inspired by legendary jazz drummers such as Max Roach, Jimmy Cobb, Philly Joe Jones, and Joe Farnsworth, he blends the spirit of bebop and hard bop traditions with his own distinctive sound and creative voice.
Whether performing timeless jazz standards or bringing fresh energy to modern arrangements, Joohan delivers engaging performances that keep audiences captivated from start to finish.
