We are open Friday and Saturday nights from 6.30pm until 11.30 pm. Friday nights are ticketed shows. Saturday nights are free entry shows, although we encourage you to tip the musicians if you have enjoyed their music. Live shows start at 7.30pm and finish at 10.00pm, but on jam nights the music continues.
We have a fully equipped kitchen and serve a variety of tapas style share plates and meals. Please visit our menu page for a full description of menu items.
We do offer gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options but do not cater for allergies as we are a small kitchen and cannot guarantee any food is completely free from a specific protein source.
Smart casual is the minimum dress code, but feel free to dress up and show off your best evening wear. The more glamorous.......the better!
We do not accept table reservations. However, purchasing a ticket for a show guarantees you a seat, as all tickets are seated. We recommend arriving early to select your seat, especially if you want a good view or wish to sit with friends as not all seats have equal viewing.
Some shows offer specific table seating, with ticket prices varying based on view. Please note that for general ticketed shows, you will likely share a table with other guests, as seating is arranged in cabaret-style tables of two or four seats per table.
We are located down an easement off Mead Lane in Fortitude Valley. Go to the end of Mead Lane, Turn left down the easement and we are the fourth premise on the RHS behind the red door. Find us here Contact Us
We strongly recommend you purchase your tickets online via our website before you come to avoid disappointment as often shows are sold out. You can purchase tickets at the door if we are not sold out.
We do not offer refunds: All tickets are non-refundable, even if you change your mind or can’t attend.
Transferring Tickets: You are welcome to gift or resell your ticket. The original ticket holder's name must be provided at the door, as tickets will remain under the original name.
The Ruby Jazz Club is wheelchair accessible and has both accessible and ambulant toilets. If you require wheelchair seating, please email us in advance at info@therubyjazzclub.com.au, as only a limited number of tables are suitable and need to be reserved.
Companion Card holders may be eligible for a complimentary ticket for specific shows. As all our paid shows have assigned seating, please notify us in advance if you require an additional seat for a Companion Card ticket, as shows may sell out. Not all artists provide complimentary Companion Card tickets, so early notice is essential.
